Extra Curicullar Activities

Culture is the sum total of the values, living style, habits and folklore of the people of the region. Cultural programmes are a mirror which provides an insight into the life of the people of the region. School as an agency of socialization socializes younger generations with our culture, through these cultural programmes. School organizes Annual Cultural Programme is generally held in the month of October or November. We focus on our folk songs, folk dances (Gidha and Bhangra) folk stories through skits. School also sees that folk songs and dances from neighbouring states are also given due place as it will help our children to know about our neighbours.

‘A healthy mind lives in a healthy body’. So along with mental development school lays equal emphasis towards physical development of children. With this aim inter-house sports competitions are held. Performing sports persons are honoured. School tries to invite players of national and international fame to further boost the confidence and interest of the players. Children also participate in inter-school competitions. Gagandeep Kaur and Harpreet Kaur, our students, have brought national fame to school in ‘Judo’.

To arouse a love and passion for studies and develop a rational and scientific attitude towards life, children are encouraged to organize exhibitions relating to subjects like science, social sciences and commerce.
